Aurelia Aceves Hogan

Interim Acting Chief Executive Officer

Aurelia is the Interim Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Fund for New York City Public Schools. She joined The Fund as the Chief of Staff in 2022, and she brings over a decade of experience and results working at the intersection of the nonprofit, private, and public sectors. In her role, Aurelia provides strategic leadership and drives partnership across NYC Public Schools and philanthropic partners to support robust educational experiences for our City’s one million students.

At The Fund, Aurelia supported the launch of key NYC Public Schools initiatives raising over $10 million to support NYC Reads and NYC Solves, led the organization’s strategic planning and metrics development and tracking, and oversaw the organization’s rebranding effort and communications strategy. Prior to joining The Fund, Aurelia served as Director, Client Services at Public Works Partners where she was a key member of the senior leadership team and led strategic and business planning projects to support the organizational health of nonprofits, and built partnerships between NYC government agencies and community-based organizations. Prior to Public Works Partners, Aurelia was a research associate at MDRC where she focused on evaluating comprehensive community initiatives and exemplar education partnerships between high schools, community colleges, and 4-year institutions.

Originally from Alhambra, California, Aurelia earned her bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and completed her master’s degree in public administration at CUNY-Baruch College, Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. Aurelia is a proud program alum of National Urban Fellows and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
